Arvika: Lördag
Det regnar på festivalen idag. Och vi väntar. Vi väntar på att det ska bli kväll, vi väntar på att det ska sluta regna, vi väntar på att de ska ringa från Patrick Wolfs skivbolag. Överallt där det finns någon slags tak är det väldigt mycket folk. Emil Jensens spelning på Lyran är överfull, vi lyckas inte komma närmare än att vi kan höra skånskan och jublet när han tar sin cykel och går av scenen.
I ärlighetens namn är det ett ganska nervigt Judy som klafsar runt på festivalområdet den här dagen. Men lagom till kvällen kommer en snäll skivbolagskille och möter oss och tar med oss till Patricks loge. Mer om vårt korta, men fina, möte med herr Wolf kommer ni kunna läsa snart här på Judy jättesnart, förhoppningsvis.
Efter lite mer väntan, den här gången på att Patrick ska applicera glitter och byta om, får Helena göra sin thing med kameror. Tio minuter senare står Patrick på scen framför en helt tossig publik. Han ber ljuskillarna om discobelysning, skuttar runt i The Magic Position och strippar till The Childcatcher. Det hela är, så att säga, ganska magiskt.
Som avslutning på festivalen passar The Magic Numbers bättre än det mesta. Det slår mig att det är första gången jag ser ett ordentligt skägg på scen här. Kanske kan det förklara varför det har varit så mycket som faktiskt varit, i brist på ett bättre ord, obra. Men att stå och beundra Michelles bashantering och dansa i en lerpöl kan göra vem som helst glad. Med leriga jeans, spritt i benen och en varm våffla med grädde och jordgubbssylt i handen går jag till presstältet för sista gången. Hejdå Arvika, hoppas vi ses igen.
